CHICAGO - Even the most optimistic of White Sox fans were caught a little off guard when they read USA Today this morning.
In a surprising move by a number of baseball fans and pundits, the publication picked the White Sox to win the American League Central division with 90 wins.
Considering the team still has a number of questions and share the division with the World Series champion Royals, it was quite a surprise. But you never know, the White Sox were picked last by many people when they won it all back in 2005.
One of those who read the prediction was Scott Merkin of MLB.com. The White Sox beat writer discussed the prediction and what fans might see out of the team when they report to Camelback Ranch later this week for Spring Training.
He joined Sports Feed on Monday to talk about the White Sox and what he's looking for over the next month in Arizona. To watch his discussion with Jarrett Payton and Josh Frydman, click on the videos above and below.
