GAINESVILLE, Flor. — A dash-cam video showing an officer playing street basketball with a group of kids has gone viral — along with an awesome message from the Florida police department.

On January 15, Officer Bobby White from the Gainesville Police Department was responding to a complaint from some residents of kids playing basketball “loudly” in the street.

When he arrived to the scene, he approached one of the kids and said, “Can you believe someone is calling about some kids playing basketball in the street? I don’t know who called, but obviously, I ain’t got no problem with it.”

Officer White then started to play a game of basketball with the kids. When it was time for him to go, he told the kids he’d be back to play another game– but with back-up.

The message at the end of the video reads:

So if you call GPD to complain about kids being kids, this is how Officer White is going to handle it. We’re going to let kids be kids. We are going to focus on the ones that commit crimes. #HoopsNotCrime
