LAKE FOREST – When it comes to finding a replacement for his old job, Dowell Loggains looked to someone from his past.

On Friday the Bears announced that Dave Ragone will take the team’s current offensive coordinator’s old job as quarterbacks coach.

While he spent last season as the offensive quality control coach for the Redskins, Ragone worked with Loggains when he was an assistant coach with the Titans.

Ragone served as wide receivers coach in the 2011 and 2012 seasons and when Loggains had the offensive coordinator job in Tennessee in 2013, Ragone was his quarterbacks coach. Both coaches were not retained after that season when new head coach Ken Whisenhunt took over in 2014.

After a standout career at Louisville, Ragone played for the Houston Texans for three seasons. He started his coaching career with the Hartford Colonials of the UFL in 2010 before getting his first NFL job with the Titans.
