Blackhawks trade Ryan Garbutt to the Ducks

CHICAGO – Another major piece to the Patrick Sharp trade to the Stars has been shipped off again by the Blackhawks.

On Thursday the team announced that they have traded forward Ryan Garbutt to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Jiri Sekac.

Garbutt was originally acquired in the trade that sent Sharp to Dallas back in the summer. Trevor Daley also came to the Blackhawks in the deal but he was traded earlier this year to the Penguins.

In his short time with the Blackhawks Garbutt had two goals and four assists along in 94 hits during his 43 games with the team.

In exchange the Blackhawks get Sekac who has appeared in 22 games for the Ducks this season with a goal and two assists. The 23-year old,made his debut with the Canadiens in 2014, has a goal and two assists for Anaheim this season.
