CHICAGO -- United Flight No. 1977 from Seattle skidded off the runway after landing at O'Hare International Airport at about 8 a.m. Wednesday.

According to United Airlines, the plane skidded after landing to the very end of the pavement.

Since it cannot go in reverse, the plane was towed to the gate.

Passengers say initially they  didn't even know anything was wrong because the landing was perfect.

The plane came in during heavy snow and slick road conditions. United believes that's what caused the plane to skid, but the incident is under investigation.

No one was injured and the plane, a Boeing 737, was not damaged.
