CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department is expanding its test of body cameras to six additional patrol districts.

The Shakespeare district, which includes Logan Square and Bucktown, has had 30 officers wearing cameras since January.

In spring 2016, officers in the Austin, Deering, Gresham, Ogden, South Chicago and Wentworth districts will start wearing body cameras  as well.

Police departments across the country have begun using or testing the body cameras as pressure builds to improve transparency.
