CHICAGO --  Archbishop Blase Cupich took some time out this Christmas Eve to spend time with families that can't be home for Christmas.

The Archbishop visited young patients and their parents at Lurie Children's Hospital.

As he arrived at the hospital this morning, the Archbishop spoke briefly with reporters. He said it was a day both to bring hope and experience hope.

The Archbishop said he is encouraged by the many good things he sees at the hospital, including the loving support parents give their children in a moment of crisis and ill health.

Archbishop Cupich will be the main celebrant at Midnight Mass at Holy Name Cathedral. WGN-TV will broadcast the Mass live beginning at 12 a.m. or you can watch on the web at wgntv.com/live.
