Body discovered at the scene of West Side fire

CHICAGO – A Chicago fire investigator looking into an earlier building fire on the West Side,  discovered a body inside the building Friday night.
The fire happened Friday afternoon in the 4400 block of West Congress Parkway in West Garfield Park.
Police were called back to the scene overnight to retrieve the body.

No word on the victim’s identity or the cause of the fire.

Police News Affairs confirms a death investigation is underway.
