LYNWOOD, Cal. - A witness captured what is believed to be two sheriff's deputies in California shooting and killing a man who was walking away from them.
The victim was identified by family members as Nicholas Robertson, 28.
Investigators were called to the scene after getting reports that Robertson was seen walking around with a gun. Authorities say Robertson, at one point, was seen shooting his gun into the air. When officers arrived, they told him several times to drop it.
The video shows Robertson turning and walking away, when at least a dozen shots were fired by deputies.
Robertson fell to the ground and then tried to crawl away from the gunfire. Police fired again.
More than 30 shots were heard on the video.
Family and community members are protesting the shooting. Robertson was married with three children.
