CHICAGO -- On Chicago’s Southwest Side, the work of the Greater Chicago Food Depository is always on the go.

Canned foods, potatoes, the ham, the turkeys, more than 6,000 of them this weekend alone.  All of it is being shuttled out to more than 100 food pantries across the city right now, just in time for Thanksgiving.

One hundred seventy-five thousand pounds of food is being moved by a mostly volunteer force.

WGN's Sean Lewis has the story.
