BRITON FERRY, Wales — After three months of trying, a barber literally got down to a young boy’s level to give him haircut.

In a Facebook post that’s gone viral, James Williams explains that the boy Mason has autism and simply does not like getting his hair cut.

“He wouldn’t allow me to go near one of his ears,” Williams wrote, adding that sometimes he would even run away from him.

After trying a bunch of methods, Williams finally found one that worked. He laid down on the floor next to Mason and cut his hair while he was playing on his parent’s phone. He even got a sweet reward after the haircut was complete.

“I asked for a high-five, he hugged me,” Williams said. “True barber love!”

Williams told BuzzFeed he hopes the photos will raise awareness about the challenges that families who have kids with autism face.
