GUNTERSVILLE, AL -- "Overdue" is an understatement.
A man in Alabama checked out a book from his high school library in 1952, and forgot to bring it back.
He found book this week, and returned it ... 63 years late.
The school estimated the fine to be $15,000, but decided to waive it.
Since the book is in good shape, the school is putting it back into circulation.
The librarian just hopes the next person doesn't keep it as long.
Sean Lewis revealed to Mike Hamernik on the WGN Saturday morning news, that an overdue library book almost kept him from collecting his high school diploma.
