CPD officer’s rifle stolen from car while responding to call

CHICAGO — Chicago police say a rifle was stolen out of an officer’s car this morning.

The officers were responding to a call at Community First Hospital, 5645 W Addison St, around 5:15 a.m.

When they returned to their vehicle they discovered it had been broken into and was missing a department issued rifle.

No one is custody. The rifle is still missing.
