EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. –An Illinois state trooper is set to be sentenced Tuesday afternoon in connection with a roadside strip search captured on his squad car’s dashboard camera.

Authorities say trooper Corey Alberson pulled over a man in East St. Louis in 2012.

They say dashcam video shows Alberson pulling down the man’s pants and checking his buttocks and genitals with a flashlight.

Alberson says he stopped the man based on a tip about a possible drug delivery.

He was convicted of aggravated assault and faces up to a year in jail.
