Sea lions sickened by oil spill return to ocean

IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. - Three sea lions sickened by an oil spill near Santa Barbara, California are back in the ocean.

More than 100 sea lions died from the Refugio oil spill on May 19th.

 

Sea World rescued 62 sea lions from the disaster.

The three released on Friday were the last remaining in Sea World's care.

They returned to the Pacific Ocean with five other sea lions rescued from area beaches.
