The Cubs and Sox will play 4 times in 2016.

CHICAGO – For the Cubs it may not be too much of a concern for the moment. For the White Sox it might be a chance to have some optimism about the future.

On Tuesday afternoon the Cubs and White Sox released their schedules for the 2016 MLB season along with the rest of the league.

In 2016 the Cubs and White Sox will meet just four times and they will do so in four consecutive days. The White Sox will host two games on July 25th and 26th and then the series shifts to Wrigley Field for two more on July 27th and 28th.

It will be a bit of an usual opener for the Cubs as they start the season with an interleague opponent for the first time. They will travel to Anaheim to face the Angels for a three-game series to start the year on Tuesday, April 5th . The Cubs will open their home schedule on Monday, April 11th at Wrigley Field against the Reds.

As for the White Sox they will also open up their season on the West Coast. They’ll be in Oakland for their season opener April 4th against the Athletics-the first of a three-game series.

They won’t be on the road for long as they return home to open the home slate against the Indians on Friday, April 8th.
