HAMBURG, NY --A media outlet in Buffalo, New York is reporting a development in the Patrick Kane sexual assault investigation.

WGRZ reports that everyone who was at Kane’s home the night of the alleged incident has been subpoenaed.

Kane may be part of that group.

Initially it was reported that only the woman who was with the accuser would appear before a grand jury Tuesday.

A former Erie County district attorney says the process could take weeks even months, well into the regular NHL season.

Even though he has yet to be criminally charged, the NHL can suspend Kane under the collective bargaining agreement for potentially damaging the league's reputation.

Training camp for the Blackhawks starts September 18th in South Bend.  No word on whether or not Kane will be there.
