SAN MARCOS, Tex. -- A suspended license didn't stop a Texas State University student from cruising around campus.

But instead of using a bike or long board, she got herself a jeep. A child-sized Barbie jeep.

Tara Monroe, a junior industrial engineering major, had her license automatically suspended after refusing to take a breathalyzer test following a Waka Flocka Flame concert, according to MySanAntonio. She was charged with a D.W.I. and held on $3,000 bail.

Her father took her car and left her back on campus with a bike, but that wasn't her style.

Instead, after perusing Craigslist, she found a bright pink Barbie jeep for $60. She bought it and named her new ride after it's previous owner, a little girl Charlene.

“When we drove up to buy it Charlene asked where the little one was to test drive it to which I replied, ‘I am the little one,'” she told MySanAntonio.

Now videos and Snapchats of Monroe and her ride have been blowing up the internet. She's glad everyone thinks it's funny, but says she had no idea she'd get this kind of reaction. Her friends didn't even think twice about it. They apparently do stuff like this all the time.

But she's not complaining.

“This is the best way I could have gotten my 15 minutes of fame,” she said. “Basically, it was the best decision I’ve made in college, yet…”
