Target may serve alcohol at Chicago location

CHICAGO- Target is looking to serve alcohol to its customers.  A new store in Chicago could be the first one to do it.

The Target Express is currently under construction near Navy Pier at 401 E. Illinois St.

According to city records, the Streeterville Target applied for two liquor licenses.

The first license is to sell alcohol, and the second is to serve it.

A Whole Foods Market nearby currently serves alcohol to its customers.

The new Target store opens on October 7th.
