Each day of Sox Serve Week (Aug. 24-30) features a community outreach event, such as inviting a local kid who has been fighting cancer to run the bases before the game (Home Run for Life on Monday) and a fundraising event like the Players’ Favorite Things baskets that represent each player for fans to bid on (Saturday). Over the last seven years, this week-long fundraising campaign has raised more than $1 million to support Chicago White Sox Charities. Fans are encouraged to share their Sox Serve Week experience and follow the fundraising campaign on social media with the hashtag “#SoxServe”.
