Case of mumps reported at St. Ignatius College Prep

CHICAGO -- There is one case of mumps reported at St. Ignatius College Prep.

The case was discovered Monday. The student is not in the hospital, but is currently recovering at home, according to school vice principal John Chandler.

“We have been following CDC protocol and IDPH recommendations,” said Chandler. “It appears to be a singular case at St. Ignatius.”

School started Friday, Aug. 14.
