CHICAGO -- A woman is dead and two men are in the hospital after a shooting on the city's West Side.
It happened just after 2 a.m. outside of a liquor store at Lake and Cicero in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
The owner of the liquor store says two different gangs walked in early this morning. "They just looked at each other and there was animosity," said Barbara Robinson, manager at Lake & Cicero Ice House Liquor.
Police say the feud spilled into the store's parking lot where they engaged in a shootout while sitting in cars parked across from each other.
22 shots were fired.
A 21-year-old woman was shot twice in the head and once in the arm. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead.
A 25-year-old man was shot in the shoulder, the bullet came out through his cheek. He was taken to Stroger Hospial in critical condition.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the hand and taken to Mount Sinai in stable condition.
An armed security guard was involved in the shootout as well.
No one is in custody yet.
