CHICAGO — A Chicago store sold a $550,000 winning ticket for Monday’s Lucky Day Lotto drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Gateway Newstand, 303 East Wacker Drive, and matched all five numbers – 16 – 17 – 19 – 23 – 24 – to win $550,000 in the Monday, August 17, midday drawing.

The retailer will receive a bonus of $5,500, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.

The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to immediately sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield and Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.

In addition to the jackpot winner, more than 18,000 players won prizes ranging from $1 to $200 in this Lucky Day Lotto drawing.  Lucky Day Lotto drawings are twice a day, seven days a week.

The winning ticket was sold at Gateway Newstand, 303 East Wacker Drive.
