Former Bulls player Sefolosha blames police for season-ending injury
NEW YORK — Former Chicago Bull Thabo Sefolosha says New York police caused his season-ending leg injury.
Sefolosha suffered a fractured fibula and ligament damage when he and his Atlanta Hawks teammate Pero Antic were arrested last week near the scene where Indiana Pacers player Chris Copeland and two women were stabbed.
Police say Sefolosha and Antic were not involved in the stabbing, but they were charged with misdemeanors, including disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration.
TMZ Sports video showed police taking Sefolosha to the ground, but what may have caused the injury is not clear in the video.
