Police seek suspects in thefts on Green Line

CHICAGO -- Chicago police are issuing a warning after several cell phone thefts on the CTA Green Line.

Two Green Line passengers had their phones stolen from them while on the train last Thursday, April 2 near the Lake and Pulaski stop.

Police say both victims were seated near the doors and as the train approached the stop, the suspects grabbed the phones from their hands and fled out of the doors.  The first theft happened at 8:50 a.m. and the second happened at 7:45 p.m.

One offender is described as black male, 14-16 years of age, 5'1" – 5'3", 100 – 130lbs.

The second suspect is described as a black male approximately 18 years of age wearing all black.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 312-744-8263.
