NOBLEBORO, ME– Authorities in Maine say a woman ran over her boyfriend with a car after she walked in on him allegedly trying to sexually assault a girl.
WCSH reports 53-year-old Linda Currier was fighting with 48-year-old James Oliver Saturday night after she walked in on the attempted assault of the 12-year-old girl. Oliver is a convicted sex offender.
“The fight continued outside the home and Currier allegedly ran over Oliver with a car. Deputies said all adults at the home had been drinking prior to the incident,” WCSH reports.
Oliver was taken to the hospital with injuries to his leg. He was later released at which point police arrested him and charged him with attempted gross sexual assault, unlawful sexual touching and failing to comply with the sex offender registration act for not updating his address, which was his second offense.
Currier was also arrested for operating under the influence and aggravated assault. She was later released.
Currier could be charged with assault for hitting Oliver with her car.
