2 attacked by pit bull on Chicago’s West Side

CHICAGO — A pit bull attack injured a man and a girl in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

It happened about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the pit bull came out of a yard in the 3900 block of West Fillmore Street and bit the two people .

The 15-year-old is hospitalized in good condition with an injury to her right arm.

The man was bit in his left hand.

Police say the owner of the dog ran from the scene.

No one is in custody.
