MONTABAUR, Germany -- There are new reports about the co-pilot of that Germanwings plane that crashed into the French Alps.
The New York Times reports that he sought treatment before the crash for vision problems, and those problems could have been caused by mental or emotional problems.
Meanwhile, a German newspaper claims it received the cockpit voice recording from the Germanwings plane that crash into the French Alps.
The black box transcript seems to confirm what investigators have said so far. Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz locked the captain out of the cockpit, and then intentionally crashed the plane on Tuesday.
The report says Captain Patrick Sondenheimer could be heard pleading with Lubitz. His last words were, "For God's sake, open the door."
According to the report by Bild am Sontag, the captain told Lubitz he didn't use the bathroom before take-off and Lubitz tells him to go anytime.
After reaching cruising altitude, the captain tells Lubitz to prepare the landing.
When that was finished, Lubitz tells the captain he can go.
The captain tells Lubitz to take over as he leaves the cockpit.
Air traffic controllers try to contact the plane three minutes later, and alarms start going off in the cockpit.
The plane went down thirteen minutes after the captain left.
