Two men killed in Elgin crash overnight

ELGIN, Ill. -   Two people were killed and another person was injured in an overnight crash in northwest suburban Elgin.

Police say three men were riding in a car that was heading westbound on Forest Drive.

The car left the road and struck a tree just after midnight.

Firefighters had to cut two of the victims from the wreckage.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The third victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The victims names have not been released.
