Chicagoans can finally brace for a messy winter.
The area saw its first significant snow this weekend, with a few inches falling in Chicagoland through Sunday afternoon.
Cars slipped off roads, hassling commuters and creating hazardous road conditions.
But for some businesses, such as professional snow shovelers, the weather brought smiles.
And the city isn't done yet.
Forecasts say a lot more snow could come by Tuesday, as another storm is expected during the overnight hours for Monday.
And with that, plummeting temperatures that could reach wind chills of nearly 30 degrees below zero.
It appears the inevitable Chicago winter is finally here.
And Chicago knows it.
