Crews worked overnight to repair a ruptured gas line after they discovered gas escaping on the city's far North side.
About 200 homes in the West Rogers Park neighborhood were affected.
The gas line break was in the 25-hundred block of West Fargo.
The area was evacuated. No injuries were reported.
Repairs were completed and residents were allowed to return to their homes just before four this morning.
