A video captured a policeman clinging onto the hood of a speeding car as it drove past motorists and passersby in Russia.

According to Daily News, Police Sergeant Sergei Ryabkov, 22, was approaching the old Chevrolet Aveo when driver Denis Shaehov, 31, started the engine and drove straight at him.

Ryabkov didn’t have time to move out of the way, but he did manage to roll on top of the car, grabbing hold of the wipers as the car sped off.

A police van was also seen chasing the car.

The Chevrolet driver was eventually stopped on the outskirts of the city, with the cop still clinging on for his life.

“An unemployed citizen born in 1983, already banned from driving, intentionally hit a police officer who was trying to check his documents,” said a police spokesman.

The man now faces 10 years in jail.
