The CTA holiday train makes it’s first run of the season today.

The route kicks off from the Midway Yard on the Orange Line this afternoon and follow the Green Line route from Roosevelt to Harlem.

On Saturday, riders can snag a picture with Santa at the Harlem/Lake stop between 1 and 2pm.

Reindeer will pull Santa on his sleigh, as he rides the train throughout the holiday season passing out holiday cheer with his elves.

The interior of the train is decked out with hundreds of white and multicolored lights, with the handrails dressed up as candy canes.

The CTA Holiday Train will travel all eight rail lines through December 23rd. Regular fares apply.
