The world’s tallest man and shortest man meet face-to-face — or face-to-shin — for the first time on Thursday to celebrate the 10th annual Guinness World Records Day.
Sultan Kosen, 31, stands at 8’3″ and is described by many as a gentle giant.
Chandra Dangi of Nepal, 75, clocks in at only 1’9″, or the height of 6-stacked cans of beans.
The two met at St. Thomas Hospital in London, and both hit it off immediately and planned on keeping in touch, according to AFP.
“Even though he is short and I am tall, we have had similar struggles throughout our lives,” Kosen, a 31-year-old farmer, told AFP. “And when I look into Chandra’s eyes I can see he is a good man.”
Chandra said he’s been confined to a small part of Nepal and says he’s thrilled to be able to travel and gain attention for his small stature.
