Make-up days announced for Waukegan students following teachers strike
Waukegan Public School students will have to make-up all the school days missed during that month-long teachers strike.
Among the dates, time will eat into their spring, summer, and winter breaks.
The school board met Wednesday to approve a revised school calendar.
Two weeks were tacked on to the end of the school year.
Students will now get out June17th instead of the third.
Classes will be held the day before Thanksgiving and winter break will not begin until Christmas Eve.
Students will also be in school on Martin Luther King day and President’s Day.
In early April, classes will be held on four days that were scheduled for the students’ spring break.
