Hidden gun found in inmate’s weave at NC jail
A woman arrested during a raid at a nightclub in Raleigh, N.C., faces additional charges after authorities found a gun in her hair weave after her arrest.
Tiffanie Lizette Bass, 32, was charged with resisting an officer, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a stolen firearm.
According to WTVD, Bass was being processed at the jail when deputies noticed Bass walking out of a bathroom with her head leaning to one side. That’s when they searched her and found a .38-caliber handgun.
The Sheriff’s Office said Bass was in the booking area of the Detention Center, but had not yet been processed into the jail area when the gun was found.
Bass is also a convicted felon.
Bond is set at $65,000 due to Bass’ criminal history.
