Wife of British hostage pleads for ISIS to let him go
The wife of a British hostage being held captive by ISIS is pleading for his release.
ISIS militants said Alan Henning would be the next to die if the United States continues its airstrikes against the terror group.
The threat was made in the videotaped beheading of British aid worker David Haines, which was made public last week.
Henning’s wife says he is a selfless man who was only trying to help others.
“I cannot see how it could assist any State’s cause to allow the world to see a man like Alan dying,” according to a message from Barbara Henning released by the UK Foreign Office.
Henning is a taxi driver who volunteered to go to Syria last year to deliver food and water to people in need. He was the only non-Muslim in the group, and the only one taken hostage.
