Police have identified four members of a family who were found dead from a murder-suicide in a home in west suburban Elmhurst on Saturday night.

They were identified by police as Francis and Joan Stack, both 82; Francis Stack Jr., 48; and Mary Stack, 57.

The victims were found inside a home in the 600 block of South Chatham Avenue in Elmhurst about 6:45 p.m.

Police had been called for a "well-being check," said Police Chief Michael Ruth, in a brief statement to reporters at the Elmhurst Police station.

Ruth say there was no immediate danger to the community.

The victims were found with "visible gunshot wounds," according to a statement released by the police department overnight.
