Man charged with fraud in flood grant program, 4 years after WGN breaks story

Four years after WGN Investigates broke the story about how Chicago area flood relief money was being spent, the Feds make an arrest.

Barry Croall is accused of swindling $330,000 from a $10 million grant that was supposed to go to homeowners.

WGN Investigates questioned Croall back in 2010 about a lavish party he threw at Brookfield Zoo for flood victims.

He denied any wrongdoing, eventually sending us an incomplete pile of spending records.

Croall was to be arraigned in federal court Thursday.
