Helicopter makes emergency landing on suburban football field

A helicopter made an emergency landing in a football field in suburban Hanover Park yesterday.
The chopper, owned by Bachman Aero, landed in a football field at around 11:00 a.m., near Barrington Road and Route 19.  The landing occurred just minutes before a team of six-year-olds were about to begin to take the field.
Officials say a busted oil seal appeared to be the cause for the emergency landing.
The pilot and one passenger were on board the helicopter.  There were no injuries.
