Why are all of these little league boys balling their eyes out on the mound and during play ? Who are the parents teaching these players that this is inappropriate behavior ……….. Texas player who was sobbing on the mound, Houston who plays for Chicago sobbing during yesterday’s game on the mound, Kyryszick and Holligan who play for Vegas also joining in the sob-fest yesterday ……… What is going on and why are the parents and coaches allowing this to happen on the field ?????? The parents and coaches should let the players know that a. If they cannot handle winning and losing appropriately on the field and b. if they are going to use poor sportsmanship skills on the field they will be removed from the game ! Crying on the field is being a poor sport and the crying was out of control throughout the 2014 Little League World Series. Maybe these boys need to learn some lessons from Mo’ne Davis who did not shed a tear and used her inner strength to win and lose graciously ! Thank you Ms. Davis for setting a great example for the boys who should be taught better and know better that crying on a field will only hurt your chances of winning, is being a poor sport and affects the whole team !
Dick Beninya
Exactly, there is no room in baseball for crying!
Nancy
DID YOUR MOM EVERY WIPE ANY TEARS FROM YOUR EYES FOR ANYTHING,AND HAD TO ENCOURAGE YOU,I WAS ONE OF THE YOUTH LEADERS IN THE 80’S ON JR AS A MOM HAD TO ENCOURAGE OUR TEAM WAS THE ‘ANGELS’,THEY ARE LEARNING IN WINNING AND LOSING,OLD FOLKS STILL NEED HELP IN THAT!,WOMAN THEY ARE KIDS!

No, I was taught by my coaches and parents not to sweat the small stuff in life like a little league game ! I was also taught the importance of being a gracious winner and loser !
