A north suburban man is being held on $300,000 bond after he robbed a Papa John’s pizza place with a hatchet on Thursday evening.

31-year-old Adam Hoth walked into the Papa John’s in the Edgewater neighborhood and announced a robbery.

He walked over to the cash register and pried it open with the hatchet.

He got away with $250.

Police arrested him the next day after he allegedly committed two other crimes – trying to steal a bracelet and slapping a man.
