* The Cubs shut out the Brewers on Tuesday, the fourth time Chicago has shut out Milwaukee this season.

* Since July 1, the Brewers’ offense has struggled when playing on the road. Their .215 batting average in that span is the worst in the National League.

*In one career start versus the Cubs (on August 29, 2012), Mike Fiers went 7.1 innings and allowed just one earned run on four hits.

* Since May 25, Scooter Gennett is one of three second basemen batting .300 or better with at least five home runs and 25 runs batted in. The others are Robinson Cano and Daniel Murphy.

* Starlin Castro is currently riding a 12-game hit streak.
