Firefighter recovering after South Loop fire

A firefighter is recovering after he was separated from his team while battling a fire in the South Loop.

The fire broke out on the third floor of a three-story apartment building on the 1100th block of South Plymouth Court.

A mayday call went out after the firefighter ran out of air and became disoriented.

He was later found and is currently on oxygen.

An elderly woman was taken to the hospital in good condition.

Officials aren't sure what sparked the fire just yet.
