The mother of a pregnant woman who was murdered by her former supervisor is suing the company that employed the killer and the victim.

Alisha Bromfield, 21, of Plainfield was strangled in August 2012 while attending a wedding in Door County, Wisconsin.

Brian Cooper, 37, was convicted of the killing in a retrial earlier this year.

Bromfield’s mother is suing Home Depot and a company that supplied flowers to the home improvement chain.

According to the suit, the businesses did nothing when Bromfield complained to management about Cooper’s advances toward her while they worked together.

The suit also claims both companies knew Cooper had violent tendencies but failed to take adequate action.
