5-month-old ejected in West Side car crash

A 5-month-old infant and his mother are hospitalized after a van crashed into a telephone pole.

It happened just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday as the van was heading north on Pulaksi, ejecting the baby from the vehicle.

When authorities arrived on the scene, unopened beer cans were found in the passengers seat.

They're investigating how the crash happened and if the child seat in the car was properly installed.

The baby was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

The mother remains in stable condition.

    Why is this not unbelievable?
    Well, being that it was 1:30 am, Chicago & the wild west side.
    Now this could almost certainly have happened in any town and anywhere USA.
    This is although from a layman’s eye who commutes the city & this is obiviously an A Typical event for an area of the city where Crime , Poverty & unemployment coupled with an above average Gang & Drug crime are rampant.
    Well Rham ? What you going to do about the sad affairs of the city of Chicago & it’s people?
