Search suspended for missing boater

The U.S, Coast Guard has suspended the search for a missing man who fell into Lake Michigan last night.

56-year-old Daniel Brown fell from a sailboat into the lake, about two miles from the shore.

The Coast Guard conducted more than 20 searches over 98 square miles of Lake Michigan last night and today.

Chicago Police and Chicago Fire Department marine units assisted in the search.

The Chicago Police Department's Marine police unit will be taking over and conducting a recovery operation in which they will use sonar in the next several days to search for the man's body in the water..
