The Kane County Coroner says some evidence may have been compromised when two refrigerators were accidentally turned off last month.

A cleaning crew flipped a switch, which turned off the refrigerator.

Allegedly, the switch didn't have any sort of sign that indicated it shouldn't be used.

The evidence was for cases dating back to 2001.

The coroner's office is still looking to see what evidence may be impacted.
