A young girl was sexually assaulted in Humboldt Park early Saturday morning.
According to the Chicago Police Department, at about 12:15 a.m., a girl, 14, was walking in the 2800 block of Division Street when a male stranger approached her. The man tried to converse with her, but she refused. The offender then grabbed the victim and sexually assaulted her.
The man fled westward in a blue SUV.
Police describe him as a Hispanic man between 20 to 35 years old, about 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds with medium-length black hair. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue pants.
Police remind the community to be aware of surroundings and report suspicious activity immediately.
