UIC student, employee face heroin charges

A UIC student and an employee accused of dealing heroin face criminal charges.

A federal sting led to the arrests.

UIC student Tania McCallum and employee Jacquay Holmes appeared in court Wednesday. They face counts of manufacturing and delivering heroin.

Drug Enforcement agents bought heroin from Holmes four times during the sting, totaling $2,000. Agents said McCallum delivered heroin for Holmes on one of the sales.
